Crystal Valley Week - glass from the whole Liberec Region in one place

A large summer show of glass, jewellery and costume jewellery from the whole Crystal Valley will light up Liberec in the last week of August, 26-31 August 2024.

The third edition of the glass festival will bring seven interesting exhibitions, outdoor installations, glass and jewellery making demonstrations, fashion shows, a crystal market, performances by master glassmakers and talented students, specially decorated tram rides, a Christmas house in the summer, concerts, PechaKucha Night and many other experiences.

Renowned glass artists and other artists from throughout the Crystal Valley, along with glass and art schools, are involved in the creation of the festival.

This year, the festival will be in the spirit of the 300th anniversary of glass lamp making in North Bohemia.

Visitors can take part in the permanent festival programme, try their hand at working with glass, whether at the mobile glassworks in front of the Liberec Town Hall, at the glass furnace or at glass cutting, and even the youngest children will get involved in creative workshops.

Crystal Valley Week 2024 will fill the Dr. Edvard Beneš Square, the Liberec Botanical Garden, the historic Liebieg Palace, the Regional Scientific Library, the Small Exhibition Hall, the Zauhlovačka technical monument, the neo-rock café Pošta, the birthplace of Ferdinand Porsche, the North Bohemian Museum, the tram depot of the Liberec Transport Company and other unexpected places.

During the Crystal Valley Week, visitors young and old will of course be able to experience the work of glassmakers and jewellery makers with their own hands and original original jewellery and glass products will be available for purchase.
