Preciosa Lighting: 300 years and flying on

For three hundred years, the tradition of top craftsmanship has been meeting with dazzling technological innovations in Kamenický Šenov. The moment that changed everything came in 1724. The big bang of human imagination and Czech crystal. Master glassmakers then mastered the light and stepped into the infinite space of imagination. Preciosa Lighting is still in it today. And it goes on and on.

Czech chandeliers shone in Versailles and in the residence of the Ottoman Sultan. The Russian Tsarina wanted them, and in 1743 they were a decoration at the coronation of Maria Theresa. The art of glassmaking improved along with technology - tradition met innovation. Preciosa Lighting spreads its light further afield, to other countries, to other continents, where its crystal luminaires adorn luxury palaces, casinos, residences, hotels and overseas ships. Three hundred light years behind us, but more destinations ahead. Our future remains bright!

The latest innovation on the crystal journey is the Crystal Pixels object, which Preciosa Lighting presented at the World Design Show in Milan, Italy, this April. What bricks are to buildings, pixels are to contemporary culture. Each handmade crystal "pixel" invites you to travel back in time while co-creating an immersive experience. During Crystal Valley Week, you too can experience the retro atmosphere with a fully controllable colourful dynamic installation of Crystal Pixels at Šaldova Square in Liberec.
