A guided tour of the winning designs of the Young Glass Symposium will take place on Tuesday, 27 August at 6pm and will be presented by Mgr. Jakub Jelínek, Chairman of the Young Glass Symposium z.s.

The Young Glass Symposium, in the closest cooperation with the glass school in Kamenický Šenov and the glassworks Pačinek Glass in Kunratice near Cvikov, are coming up for the second time with the Children's Glass Symposium, which becomes a unique platform for the first meeting of artistically talented children with top craftsmen. The meeting is all the more important because it can bring a crucial decision about the direction of the next steps of children into the glass world, which must think about its future, especially at this time. In June 2024, four children from the German Weißwasser region - talented children - will meet for the second time in the Crystal Valley, symbolically at the oldest glass school in the world in Kamenický Šenov and Jiří Pačink's art glassworks in Kunratice near Cvikov, who have passed the selection round and who will be given the unique opportunity to become an ARTIST for four days, for whom glassmakers work at a hot furnace, who can influence the shape of their cut sculpture, sandblasted decoration or compose a glass mosaic themselves. The ambassador and artistic guarantor of the symposium is Liběna Rochová, a prominent international designer and winner of the Czech Grand Design award. The symposium was under the auspices of Mrs. Eva Pavlová, wife of the President of the Republic, the Governor of the Liberec Region Martin Půta and Květa Vinklátová, Councillor for Culture and Tourism.

Vernissage: Sunday 23 June at 2 pm
