Café Bar Praha | Křišťálové rozptýlení | Ladislav Ševčík Bohemia Crystal | Sklárna a minipivovar Novosad & syn Harrachov
The "Crystal Diffusion" exhibition presents the Klaris collection of glasses featuring the Prismatic cut design, created by the Ladislav Ševčík Bohemia Crystal family glass studio in collaboration with one of the oldest operating glassworks in the world—the Harrachov Glassworks.
The Klaris collection is based on clean, timeless shapes that highlight both the material itself and the precision of the handcrafted workmanship. The blown glass from the Harrachov glassworks is followed by the hand-cut Prismatic decoration. The original motif consists of delicate matte cuts that scatter light into subtle reflections and create a contrast between the shine of smooth crystal and the texture of the cut surface.
The collection’s unique festival presentation showcases the interplay of two traditional glassmaking techniques and two perspectives on contemporary Czech glass, from working with molten glass to the final details of the cut decoration. The result is a collection that combines artisanal precision, minimalist design, and a sensitivity to light.
The installation is located in the Café Bar Praha in Liberec on the square next to City Hall, where the atmosphere of the historic center naturally blends with contemporary design, culture, and social gatherings. The café is part of the historic Art Nouveau building of the Hotel Praha on Železná Street, but the entrance is directly from Dr. E. Beneš Square.
