We cordially invite you to the opening of a special exhibition at the Johann Gallery in the Liebieg Palace on Monday, August 24, at 2:00 p.m.

Blown glass beads are still used today in the world of clothing and headwear. The exhibition will showcase ceremonial and ritual headwear that has been and continues to be adorned with these beads. These include wedding headbands and crowns worn by brides on their big day, headbands for bridesmaids, and men’s headbands. Visitors will learn about their purely regional style—from the Podještědí region—but will also have the opportunity to compare them with examples from other areas of Bohemia, Moravia, Slovakia, and Germany.

You can visit the exhibition at the Johann Gallery from August 25 to October 31, 2026 (opening on Monday, August 24, at 2 p.m.).
