Wax Crayons Will Be at the Crystal Valley Week Glass Festival

The Lustrfest open-air festival in Kamenický Šenov has a beautiful new light installation in the treetops of Dvořáček Park. VOSKOVKY. Three of them, in fact.

And this fifth light art installation will be moving in August to the glass, jewelry, and costume jewelry festival in Liberec, right into the beautiful gardens of the Liebieg Palace. We are thrilled to be able to present it at Crystal Valley Week.

Preciosa Lighting, the Secondary School of Applied Arts in Kamenický Šenov, the City of Kamenický Šenov… and every visitor to Lustrfest contributed to the creation of the Voskovky artwork.

Crystal Valley flourished thanks to the richness of the surrounding nature. It was precisely the clean sand, water, and high-quality wood that enabled the development of the glassmaking craft, which has made this region famous throughout the world. And although today we are exploring new paths and materials, the connection between glass and nature remains as exceptional as ever.

VOSKOVKA is inspired by natural shapes, colors, and their beautiful irregularity. A delicate network of leaves is adorned with wax pearls in pearlescent shades, which together create unique patterns, ornaments, and motifs. Each visitor’s contribution added a new story to the flower. The Voskovky were first lit on June 13, 2026, in Dvořáček Park in Kamenický Šenov.
