With passion for Czech garnet. An exhibition telling the story of the Czech garnet in the LIEBIEG PALACE in Liberec.

The Liebieg Palace will come alive with craft in August. You can look forward to an exhibition, guided tours, lectures on Czech garnet and jewellery, presentations of contemporary garnet jewellery, fashion shows, workshops for children and much more.

Let us introduce you to one of the many pieces of national treasure - the Czech garnet. Czech garnet is a unique stone, specific for its deep red colour, which it retains forever in all gem sizes. Czech garnets can only be found in the Czech Republic.

According to Professor F. X. M. Zippe, geologist, mineralogist and co-founder of the National Museum in Prague, the Czech garnet is the mineralogical symbol of Bohemia. Traditionally, it is considered the Czech national jewel. Let its passionate colour dazzle you too.

The exhibition With a Passion for Czech Garnet will be on view at the Johann Gallery in the Liebieg Palace from 19 August to 7 September 2024.
