A major summer showcase of glass, jewelry, and costume jewelry from across the Crystal Valley will light up Liberec during the last week of August (August 24–29, 2026).
The fifth edition of the glass festival will feature outdoor installations in the streets and parks, traditional exhibitions, demonstrations of glass and jewelry making, an unconventional fashion show, a crystal market, presentations by master glassmakers as well as talented students, rides on a specially decorated tram, a Christmas house in summer, a program on the square in Liberec, the PechaKucha Night talk show, and many other sparkling experiences.
Renowned glassmakers and other artists from across the Crystal Valley, along with glassmaking and art schools, are involved in organizing the festival.
Visitors will have the chance to try their hand at glassmaking themselves, whether at the mobile glassworks in front of Liberec City Hall, at the glassblower’s torch, or during glass cutting; even the youngest children will participate in creative workshops.
Crystal Valley Week 2026 will fill the newly renovated Lidové sady park and the Linserk building, bring crafts to Dr. Edvard Beneš Square, and take place in the botanical garden, the historic Liebieg Palace, the Regional Scientific Library, the Naive Theater Liberec, the Neo-Rococo Pošta Café, the MUZA North Bohemian Museum, the Liberec riverfront, and other unexpected locations.
