A Story of Water, Light, and Glass at the Naive Theater

We invite you to the exhibition The Element That Connects, which uses light, glass, and water to tell the story of the connections between people, places, and cultures. The exhibition by the Nový Bor-based company Lasvit is part of Crystal Valley Week, the largest glass festival in the Czech Republic.

Since time immemorial, water has connected continents, cities, and human destinies. It is precisely this universal element that inspired the art project Splash, through which Lasvit showcases the power of connection across cultures and generations.

At the heart of the exhibition is a light and glass installation by designer Martin Gall, which captures the emotional resonance of water and its ever-changing form. Here, molten glass transforms a fleeting moment into a lasting form filled with light, energy, and movement.

In the context of the festival’s theme, “Connecting Cultures,” the Splash project becomes a symbol of mutual understanding. Just as individual drops come together to form a single stream, art, too, can transcend the boundaries of languages, traditions, and experiences.

The exhibition invites visitors to pause, quiet their minds, and discover the beauty of detail. It reminds us that it is precisely shared experiences, emotions, and stories that unite us, regardless of our origins or where we come from.

Lasvit is one of the leading names in contemporary Czech glass design. Through its original lighting and spatial installations, the company transforms interiors around the world and builds on the extraordinary tradition of Czech glassmaking. Its work combines masterful craftsmanship, innovation, and artistic boldness.

The exhibition is open during the festival from August 24 to August 29, 2026, daily from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Naive Theater in Liberec. It will remain open until September 12, even after the festival ends!
