A fairy tale, contemporary circus and a music workshop. The square will come alive with a children’s programme
On Thursday 27 August 2026, the square will be transformed into a place full of imagination, movement, creativity and music. As part of Crystal Valley Week, a fun-filled afternoon has been organised for children and their parents, featuring a theatre performance, a circus workshop and a chance to make music together. The programme will run from 2.00 pm to 5.30 pm and admission is free.
The afternoon will begin at 2.00 pm with The Little Mermaid, performed by Divadlo B. This poetic production, inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s famous tale, will transport young audience members into a world of mermaids, big dreams and courageous decisions. The show is suitable for children aged four and over and will last 45 minutes.
Throughout the day, from 2.00 pm to 5.00 pm, there will also be crystal ball acrobatics and a workshop with CIRQUEON taking place in the square. Under the guidance of experienced instructors, visitors will have the chance to try out various circus disciplines and work with circus equipment. A unique feature of the programme will be a performance with a crystal ball, which will link the world of contemporary circus with the theme of glass and Crystal Valley.
From 3.00 pm, craft enthusiasts will be delighted by a creative sound workshop, where children and adults alike can make their own rattles from reused materials and glass seed beads. Participants will discover how simple objects can be transformed into original musical instruments.
The creative session will be followed at 5.00 pm by a musical sound workshop, during which all the instruments created will be played together. The rhythm workshop will be led by MgA. Jakub Nitsche, who will guide visitors through a shared musical experience full of joy, creativity and the discovery of sounds.
