The exhibition, titled UNFRAMED, will be held at the new festival venue—BG KLUB on Masarykova Street, directly across from the North Bohemian Museum. Come see a showcase of works by students and faculty from the Glass and Jewelry Design program at the Department of Design at the Technical University of Liberec.

The innovative concept of combining glass and jewelry studios originated 20 years ago at the Department of Design, based in Jablonec nad Nisou.

The symbiosis of these two artistic disciplines combines artistic craftsmanship with scientific and research activities within the bachelor’s and master’s degree programs. For their creative projects, students can utilize the university’s state-of-the-art development and research centers.

The Department of Design is located in the very heart of Central Europe’s glassmaking region. The combination of glass and jewelry design is thus a natural response to the rich cultural and historical tradition of the glass and costume jewelry industry in the Jablonec region, which has continued uninterrupted since the 16th century.

And let’s not forget to introduce the BG CLUB. The club offers a spacious and versatile exhibition area of approximately 200 square meters with many possibilities for the creative presentation of artistic work. Visitors can also enjoy refreshments in the lounge area. BG KLUB is primarily a modern sports center dedicated to badminton and indoor golf. While badminton is played in a separate hall, golf moves to an outdoor course in the summer. Festival visitors will therefore not encounter golfers.
