The Christmas House will again this year become a proud part of the popular summer festival Crystal Valley Week, which celebrates the uniqueness of Czech glassmaking.

Traditionally, the festival is accompanied by a glass dragon - a mythical creature that spews fire and melts its own glittering tail with its own heat. It is a symbol of the power and beauty of glass and reminds us that:

"Glass is eternal. It is our history, our present and our future."

From Monday to Saturday, a rich programme full of glass, craftsmanship and creative atmosphere awaits you at the Christmas House.

Together with - Decor by Glassor - the renowned company Rautis is participating in the programme and will offer creative workshops on the production of traditional bead ornaments from Poniklá and show how to blow glass beads. This unique technique, listed as an intangible cultural heritage by UNESCO, offers visitors a unique experience combining craftsmanship with Czech tradition.

This year, we will also launch the permanent sale of Rautis bead ornaments directly in the Christmas House - from August 2025, a selected range of this Czech brand will be available.

On this occasion, we will also jointly present a limited edition collection, which was created exclusively in collaboration with Rautis x Decor by Glassor and will be launched during the festival.

A special guest of this year's festival will be fashion designer Jiřina Tauchmanová, who will be exhibiting her nativity scene made of burnt glass - a delicate, original work using unique glass technology. And where else should a glass nativity scene be exhibited than here?

On Thursday 28 August 2025 from 15:00 to 17:00, Jiřina Tauchmanová will be present in person at the Christmas House to talk about the making of her nativity scene, glass techniques and her work as a fashion designer. Don't miss this unique opportunity to meet her in person!
