The mythical Phoenix visits the Crystal Valley Week glass festival
Lustrfest open air festival in Kamenický Šenov has a new beautiful luminaire in the treetops in Dvořáček Park. The mythical crystal phoenix.
And it is this fourth light art object that will move to the glass, jewellery and costume jewellery festival in Liberec in August, right in the beautiful garden of the Liebieg Palace. We are very pleased to be able to present it at Crystal Valley Week.
Preciosa Lighting, SUPŠS Kamenický Šenov, the town of Kamenický Šenov ... and every visitor of Lustrfest participated in the preparation of the artwork Phoenix.
The phoenix is a symbol of regeneration, renewal and immortality. Repeatedly, it always finds new strength to continue the cycle and make a new beginning. The symbolism of the phoenix so beautifully captures the strength of the region and its glassmakers and their exceptional energy.
The phoenix is made of a material that can withstand the elements and is adorned with crystal components that bring movement and life to the work, in conjunction with light. Following the theme of Lustrfest, which was PAINTING, each visitor could participate in its creation by painting on metal slices representing the feathers of the mythical creature. The crystal phoenix thus flared up for the first time on 14 June 2025 in Dvořáček Park in Kamenický Šenov.
