14:00 PERFORMANCE: THE LITTLE MERMAID (Theatre B)
Performance duration: 45 minutes
A fairy tale for children aged 4 and over, based on Hans Christian Andersen’s story ‘The Little Mermaid’.
A tale of the little mermaid’s longing. And of longing in general.
And also of the great price one must pay to gain an immortal soul.
And about how wonderful it is to be human.
How do they spend their time,
the little mermaids,
when the sea is calm,
when it rages…
…one day the moment will come
when the mermaid’s time comes to an end
and she turns into something
foamy and white.
Evelína can’t wait for her fifteenth birthday, when she’ll be able to see the human world for the first time. Yet she never even dreamt of the unexpected longings and difficulties that fulfilling this desire would bring.
Will she manage to win the prince’s heart or an immortal soul? Will Evelína’s heart be pure and brave enough? You’ll find out in the show ‘The Little Mermaid’.
14:00–17:00 ACROBATICS WITH A CRYSTAL BALL AND WORKSHOPS WITH CIRQUEON
Try your hand at contemporary circus under the guidance of instructors from CIRQUEON. Fun workshops await you, during which you’ll be able to try out various circus skills and work with circus props. The programme will also feature acrobatics with a crystal ball, combining the world of contemporary circus with glass. The workshops are open to everyone, with no age restrictions, and no prior experience is required.
15:00–17:30 CREATIVE AND MUSICAL SOUND WORKSHOPS
Create your own simple rattle using recycled materials and glass beads. Discover how everyday objects can be transformed into musical instruments.
During these creative workshops, you’ll create original sound objects, and at the end, at 5.00 pm, you’ll play them together during a rhythm workshop, where the instruments will truly come to life. The workshops are designed for both children and adults and combine creativity, an eco-friendly approach and the joy of making music together. Led by: Jakub Nitsche, MA.
